Training Overview:
During academic programs and practicum assignments there is talk about assessing for risks, but unfortunately, the training received is usually agency specific and directs providers to a form consisting of a list of questions to ask.

Most students do not actually experience conducting a risk assessment until later in their career, at which point they realize (during the crisis) that they were only introduced to a form/format, but they did not actually learn how to conduct a risk assessment. Now you realize you don't know what to ask or why without a specific form. The training was insufficient.

My goal is always to teach you how to conduct assessments (in any setting) and document (in any format) without depending on a specific set of questions. When you are trained correctly and adequately you will not be dependent on a form or a list.

Assessing for risks is scary for most, but in this training I will introduce you to strategies that will help reduce your reluctance to respond to crisis situations.
